COMP 47230: Movement

[Back to course overview]

There are 4 videos in this sequence.

Video 1: Introducing the complex relationship between observable movement and its interpretation as behaviour.

Video 2: In which we pose the tough question: “What do brains do?”

Video 3: We show how our understanding of goals affects how we might choose to describe a system, and introduce some vocabulary necessary to describe emergent patterns of coordination.

Video 4: We finish up with a brief consideration of the role of different parts of the CNS in movement, and look at the much more complex kind of movement found in speech.

This is the end!
